[Oliver's Audis] Oliver owns a varying number of Audis at any given time. At the moment he has some more than 30! He writes about two of them:
"The pictures shows my winter-time cars 1999/2000. Now they wait in my collection for their next duty. The left one is an Audi 200 GL from 1975 with 112PS, tinted windows, rpm-meter, additional instruments and black coated Ronals with 195/50 R15. The car now has 245.000km (152000 miles) and never left me alone.
The right car is a 1986 Audi Coupé GT with 136PS, automatic transmission, tinted windows, car alarm, heated seats, trailer hitch and is mainly doing long-range duty between Bavaria and the Rhineland"
[Sven's Type44] Sven, the Webmaster of www.AudiFreak.de writes about his 44:
"I don't have changed much on that car, I simply don't have the time. And the things I _have_ changed, I will keep as a secret or else the legal guys will pay me a visit and take my car apart. As I bought this car in 1999 from an 86 year old, it was in immaculate condition with only 106000km (66000miles). Only the engine was half dead, caused by the previous owner's sleepy driving style. But I got it right by driving on the Autobahn. Furthermore important is the towing hitch, so now I can go on holidays with my own car and sailing boat!"
[Willem's Type89] Willem, the webmaster of Willem's Audi Gallery, writes about his Audi:
"Here's my picture and story of my own audi, called Casper:
Audi 80 Type89, built in 1988, Audi 90 look on the inside, 285.000 km, an airbrush of Casper the friendly ghost on the car. Grillspoiler, JVC El Chameleon with 12cd changer, Pirelli Drago P5000 195-60-14". Engine is the 1800 CC 75 PS, it runs on LPG."
(That is Liquid Propane Gas, or "Autogas", many cars in the Netherlands drive on that.)
[Pavel's Audi 100 Turbo] Pavel is Czech and drives an Audi 100 turbo Typ44. He writes:
"My Audi is built in 1987. I am the second owner and have bought it with an accident. Therfore I had to repair everything and paint it. When repairing, I had problems with the engine, as the idle would not stay low. In the end it showed that it was a bad tube between Turbo and Intercooler
Now, one year later, everything is ok, and the Audi drives like a cannon. This is all what I have to say about my Audi.
I wish all Audi fans many miles without problems!"
Thanks, Pavel, and we wish the same to you!
Roberto's A4 Roberto from the Audiclub.ch keeps his message short:
"My A4 1.8T Avant quattro with a bit of mtm. 8.5x18 from Works and H&R adjustable ride height suspension.".
Well, he totally forgot the M3-look rear-view mirrors and the sport grill ;)
Daniels A6 Daniel has turned in his Type44 for this A6 2.6 and is very pleased with it.
"2,6 litre '96 A6 black. 174.000km/108tmiles (Jan/2002), central locking with remote control, air condition and sliding roof, aluminium rims, Jaquard Satin, double airbag, 6xCD changer radio, cellular phone Siemens holder in leather and much more..."
Michael's Type89 Michael writes about his Audi 80r:
"Audi 80 Type 89, built 06/87, 1900 ccm, 113 PS, Weitec 60/60 mm suspension, 7,5x 16" Caribic-Cup (DBV) with 215/40 all around, RS2 Bumper (SGI) (not on the pic), grill by Kamei, 140x70 mm DTM exhaust tip, sport airfilter, Audi-Sport steering wheel, Kamei rear spoiler, Zender side panels, white turning signals, black Hella rearlights, white instruments, remote control for central locking and alarm."
More can be found at www.michaelkast.de.
Hans' Type44 Hans writes about his 44:
"It is a 4/90 with 185000 km (115000 miles) on the clock and a real fivecylinder under the hood. Sport airfilter of K&N and 7x15 rims of an Audi 80 B4 and many more..."
More Info? Have a look at kolaschnik.de under ->"Galerien"->"Audi 100 von Hans Binder"! In spring 2001 he traded it in for 2000DM (rougly 900US$) and bought his new Audi 100 C4.
Mike's S6 Mike's ragusa-metallic S6 is so sharp, he could go on for hours:
"S6 Avant Turbo Quattro with 169 KW (230 PS). The list of options includes, besides electronic air-conditioning, sliding roof, heatable seats, sun blockers and cruise control some rare ones like additional heating and electric sport seats with memory. So driving is really comfortable. On the stock 16" I have mounted 225 winter tires and during summer I drive 18" Ronal R7 with 235/40. The suspension consists of H&R-Federn with yellow Konis and when you turn on the cruise control at 230 km/h (143 mph) then long journeys are just fun, too. The Bose system is a bit weak in the basses, but not enough that I want to convert it - yet! But a radio control remote instead of the infrared remote and black side turning signals just had to be!"
RainerSs Typ85 Rainer writes about his stock Audi 90:
"Well ... what shell I day about my 90? It is an Audi 90, built in July 1986 with 115PS, sadly without catalaytic converter. By now, he already has 205000 km (127300 miles) on the clock. After an engine collapse in the bewitched 13th year, it was completely overhauled. He now has a seasonary license plate and is currently hibernating. But even in summer I only drive him on nice days, mostly on weekends. I don't have many options: Central locking was stock on the 90, poer steering and a second rear view mirror strangely not - mine has them. Furthermore a sliding roof and the stock "Gamma" radio is still there, too."
So, mail him, if you are interestes in stock Type81/85s!
