It is common to differentiate between optical and engine Tuning. As a matter of fact, improvements to the suspension and the interieur which make the car perform better, should be regarded as Tuning, too. Of course, there are many Tuning-parts that just improve (or spoil) the optics while doing nothing for the perfomance.
Traditionally in Europe, the small cars get more attention: Polo or Golf, but also the midsize Audis like the Audi 80 or now A3 and A4. There was never much for the Type44. And that few parts that were available, diminished at the latest in the early 90s. Treser has done much for the Type44, but not really for the small budgeted people.
Of course there were other companies offering body parts, too. On the other hand, engine Tuning was never that much of a problem. As long as you have a Turbo. The big success of the similar 5-cylinder engines in various Audis for nearly 20 years has done wonders for that.
On this page some Tuning parts for the Type44 shell be described. I will be concentrating on optical Tuning, but if you have further pics or info on anything, be it other body parts, springs, engine Tuning and so on, just mail it to me. I'll include it here.
I am aware that some of the shown parts will not appear contemporary. But they belong to the Type44 as it is a child of the 80s.
(1) Treser starts the list. That's no wonder, as he did the weirdest conversions using Type44s. He also did engine Tuning, suspension and interieur. If interested, visit my Treser pages. After the bankruptcy of Treser, Walter Beutlich has bought most of the tools and dies.
In the USA, Erebruni has some Treser parts left in stock.

The Stylinggarage Ingolstadt must be credited for being one of the last who sell body parts for the Typ44. As they do not present those parts on their homepage, I have taken the liberty to scan their paper brochure. Apart from the shown parts they offer springs, end mufflers and rims.

Here is a pic (92kB) of Timo's Audi 100 with the SGI rear skirt (7).

Kamei, too, still offers some parts. Apart from some not-so-important parts like door hatch guards or that thing you can put stuff into between the front seats (called middle armrest in German), they offer the pretty cool grill spoiler for the Audi 100. It fits the 200 pretty well, I think, but is not that easy to legalize in Germany on a 200. Furthermore, Kamei offers a grill surrounding. Either in chrome or in black plastic to be painted by you. Both together look great, but once again, this is not easy to legalize in Germany.

The big orange turning signals or a drawback on the front. In Germany you can get this fixed for less than US$35 by Blinkerwelt.de! When installing, make sure that the signals "snap" into position correctly!
Also, www.Autoteile-Stommel.de offers white signals. I have not installed them but I hear that they fit well.

When driving a 200 20V-style front skirt you can use Euro Golf II signals. I think this is the same in the US. Also the ones for the first generation Golf convertible should fit after only minor modification. Futhermore, you can adapt the rubber lip of the Renault Espace.
When driving an Audi 200 with Euro-style bumper, there is no solution. But the 200 bumper and front spoiler will fit a Euro-Audi 100.
The following tips I have collected from our Audi 100/200 Forum:
Furthermore, the 200 10V (Euro) and 100 (Euro) bumpers fit onto the 200 20V (Euro/US) fenders. These once again can be mounted onto 200 10V and 100 (Sport, too), but you should also use the 200 20V's inner fenders (the plastic parts). You also need to be careful as the Sport/Exclusiv fenders are a bit different to those of the 200 20V. You should therefore not mix the two styles. These tips are only valid for the front bumper and I cannot clearly say what will work with US bumpers/fenders. If you know more, please tell me.
(1) A pretty well known part is this Foha spoiler. It is not available today. I don't even know what happened to Foha!
Mahag(3) Mahag is a group of Audi/VW dealers with their own parts production. In the 80s, Mahag offered these nice "aerodynamic front and rear skirts". The parts attach directly beneath the stock Euro Audi 100 bumpers. The car was called "Audi 100 Exclusiv" by Mahag. I suspect that the front skirt would fit a stock Euro 200 bumper as well, but look stupid, as the 200's bumper has a nearly vertical edge. At the back, the skirt should fit Euro Audi 100 and 200 alike, I think. I am very sure that it WON'T fit US-style/20V bumpers.

As far as I know, the parts were originally manufactured by Raffay Tuning. Raffay still exists but apparently does not produce tuning parts anymore.
Abt 20V(4) Der Abt has a good reputation. At least partially this started in the past. Abt offered complete performance kits for the Audi engines and not only a chip as is sadly often done from other tuners. Springs, sport suspensions, rims and body parts made the collection complete. Sadly, Abt has no parts for the old models any longer.
The front skirt in V8-look ("200 Trans AM") is completed by a grill surrounding. This is a special part for the 200 front (close-up pic here). If you would just mount a surrounding of an Audi 100, there would be ugly holes between it and the headlights.
The custom Audi 200 below also has this surrounding. The front skirt is -according to infos I got from Abt- probably an intensive modification of an Abt part. If this is the case, I presume that another skirt then the above served as a starting point.

44 extreme(6) This Audi 100 was presented in the magazine "Autotuning" as one of the the first two cars by MA-Spezial. It has some unique ideas. It has a painted Audi 200 bumper with blacked out turning signals. The fog lights are replaced with air intakes and the now useless Audi 100 signals are covered. The wheel arches are cut out and welded in a bit higher. That way, 215/40 on 8,5x17 will fit, even with a lowering of 120mm (4.7"). A roll cage was added to the interieur, the rear door handles are smoothed and a Kamei grill spoiler is mounted.
